Founded in 1921 as Elektra (Radioslava Ltd.), the main focus was on importing radio transmitting equipment and receivers.
Ten years later, a partnership with Marconi Ltd. was established. in England and components were imported that were assembled in Czechoslovakia.
From 1936 Tesla also started producing electron tubes under the name of Marconi.
After the Second World War, the Tesla factory supplied many Eastern European countries with all kinds of electronics until the fall of the wall in 1989. Of the many subsidiaries, only Tesla Litovel as a manufacturer of high-quality turntables and JJ Electronic as a tube manufacturer survived.
